Academic Research, Innovation, and Extension Week

With the theme Impacts of Extreme Weather Events on Society: Challenges and Solutions, the Academic Research, Innovation and Extension Week - SAPIENS Unilasalle -, reflects the urgency of the discussion about climate change and its effects on the planet and society.
Changes in climate, intensified by human action, have caused extreme weather events that are increasingly frequent and intense, such as prolonged droughts, devastating floods, heat waves, hurricanes, and forest fires. Not only do these extreme events result in incalculable human and material losses, but they also threaten food security, public health, the economy, and social stability. In addition, climate change exacerbates social inequalities, disproportionately affecting the most vulnerable populations.
SAPIENS will take place between days October 07 and 10, 2024. A week of differentiated activities that seek to further connect the academy and the market, generating new solutions for real problems. The objective is to create an attractive environment for the sharing of knowledge, experiences, ideas and initiatives involving students at all levels of education.
